Scope and Contents Charter by Michael [Balfour], commendator of Melrose, and his convent, granting to Hugh Crawfurd, son of the late Hugh Crawfurd in Drumdow, in feu-farm, the 10s. lands of Grenoktoun, presently occupied by John Lekprevik, and the 5s. lands of Netherwood, presently occupied by Matthew Arkill, lying in the lordship of Kylesmure and sheriffdom of Ayr : To be held of the granter and his successors in feu-farm for a yearly duty of 17s. Scots, being 16s. 4d. of old rental and 8d. of augmentation....
